A smart alternative to unsustainably sourced hardwood

Bamboo looks, feels and ages just like hardwood

There is a wide choice of decking and cladding products on the market: the most appreciated and recognised for their natural beauty, durability and resistance are often hardwood products, especially tropical hardwood. But with growing demand, these slow-growing trees face overharvesting. Popular tree types like Cumaru and Ipe take 50 to 80 years to mature. To protect them from over-harvesting and illegal logging they were recently added to the CITES list of endangered species.

It looks like wood and is as hard as stone

MOSO® Bamboo products are an alternative to unsustainably sourced hardwood, as they have similar or even superior characteristics:

  • The products look, feel and age just like hardwood but are far more stable and exceptionally hard.
  • Easy installation with an end-match system and invisible fixing.
  • Fire class B can be reached without the need for eco-damaging fire retardants.
  • The rapidly renewable bamboo mother plant can grow a new stem to maturity every 5-6 years.

This way, MOSO® Bamboo products deliver durability and stability without the environmental concerns of non-FSC-certified wood.
