A deck with the feeling of infinite length
The terrace of the Meier on Rothschild apartments appears infinite thanks to the tongue and groove match system at the ends of the bamboo boards. This system is only possible with extremely stable materials. The renowned architect Richard Meier, winner of the Pritzker Prize, designed the Tower Apartments of Meier on Rothschild and wanted to use sustainable materials. Its numerous ecological credits, durability and natural beauty made the Bamboo X-treme boards the ideal decking product for this project.

A luxurious bamboo deck featuring a chevron pattern
Outdoor decking can be a continuation of the indoor flooring and often the interior design is extended to the terrace. In this Moroccan villa, the owners wanted to continue the chevron pattern of the interior floor in the bamboo decking outdoors. Thanks to the high stability of the MOSO® Bamboo X-treme®, the bamboo boards could be installed with the same pattern as the flooring in the house.

Luxury design at Madwaleni River Lodge
In keeping with the luxury design of the new Madwaleni River Lodge in South Africa, the owners were looking for a high-end quality deck. "We tested out five different decking products in the harsh African sun on the banks of the Umfolozi River for a year. At the end of the year the MOSO Bamboo X-treme® Decking was still in perfect condition and had fared the best of the 5 products. That, combined with their stored carbon, led us to choose MOSO®," explains Andrew McGill, Product Manager at African Habitat Conservancy.

Design freedom by combining bamboo boards with different widths
The combination of different board widths offers more freedom in the design of the terrace. The owner of this beautiful villa in Cape Town, South Africa, took full advantage of this. He decided to install a combination of boards in widths of 137, 155 and 178 mm. This combination creates a unique and inspiring result. In addition to the different board widths, it is also possible to play with the different surfaces of the Bamboo X-treme® Decking boards, choosing between the smooth or grooved side, or a combination of both.

Curved, brushed boards at Vabali Spa Hamburg
The spacious spa facilities (36000 m²) at Vabali Spa Hamburg are designed to resemble a Balinese village where up to 500 guests can relax. Just like in Berlin and Dusseldorf, Bamboo X-treme® Decking was selected for the outdoor areas. Thanks to the application of invisible MOSO® Clips and joists the installation was quicker and easier. Moreover, it gave the deck areas a much more luxurious appearance as the clips are hidden. A board was specially produced for the spa that is both curved and brushed on the surface. This ensures the boards dry faster and provides more slip resistance. For the stairs non-slip decking boards with two anti-slip strips provide even more slip resistance.

A weathered deck still looking elegant
MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® Decking boards were installed at the headquarters of the shipping company Jumbo Maritime. MVSA Architects and the owner Jumbo Maritime selected bamboo boards for the 2500 m² decks at the office balcony and the surrounding garden. On the company's rooftop, the Bamboo X-treme® Decking and the railing is reminiscent of standing on a ship’s deck, overlooking the harbours. 5 years after the installation of the deck, MOSO® experts came back to take new photos: the bamboo boards have an elegant grey look and are still as beautiful as the day of installation.
